Ski & Snowboard Hire
We recommend that you order your equipment in advance to guarantee availability and to benefit from lower prices than you will find in resort. The earlier you reserve, the less you will pay. As a guide, depending on how far in advance your reservation is made and on the quality of equipment, prices for 6 days hire range as follows:

Adult skis & boots : 76 to 113 euros
Child skis & boots : 44 to 72 euros
Adult snowboard & boots : 88 euros
Child snowboard & boots : 56 euros

We are more than happy to give advice on your rental equipment both before you make your reservation and in resort.

Chalet Alistelle: 200 metres from our recommended ski shop in Tignes Les Brevieres, Intersport.

Chalet Le Loup: 75 metres from our recommended ski shop in Tignes Les Brevieres, Intersport.

Chalet Amelie: 150 metres from our recommended ski hire shop in Tignes Le Lavachet, Ski Republic. The chalet is also close to a selection of ski hire shops in the resort.

Chalet Grande Tourne: 75 metres from our recommended ski hire shop, Ski Republic. The chalet is also close to a selection of ski hire shops in the resort.

Ski passes in Tignes
Ski pass prices for winter 2010/11 are as follows:

Tignes Area, 150km, 6 days:
Adult 190,00 euros
Child (5–13 yrs) 152,00 euros

Espace Killy (Tignes & Val D'Isere), 300km, 6 days:
Adult 222,50 euros
Child (5–13 yrs) 178,00 euros

It is possible to book your ski pass online and have them sent to your home address before your holiday by going here. Alternatively, ski passes can easily be purchased in resort – a ski pass office is within easy walking distance of each chalet. Your chalet hosts will happily direct you.

Approximate distances from our chalets to their nearest ski pass office are as follows:

Chalet Alistelle: 250 metres
Chalet Le Loup: 50 metres
Chalet Amelie: 150 metres
Chalet Grande Tourne: 150 metres

Ski passes are free to children aged 0-4 yrs and to seniors over 75 yrs. There are five free ski lifts on the beginner slopes in Tignes. We would therefore advise beginners not to buy a ski pass until they have spoken to their ski instructor. They may advise that you will not require a ski pass until later in your holiday.

Ski passes in Espace Killy (Tignes & Val D'Isere) are automatic and so are read without you needing to take your ski pass out of your pocket all week.  For ski passes less than 8 days in duration, a passport size photo is not required.

Mountain Hosting
(Chalet Alistelle and Chalet Amelie)
The variety and expanse of terrain on offer in L'Espace Killy is simply breathtaking. On one day of your holiday we give you the opportunity to be shown around the superb 'Espace Killy' (the name given to the combined ski area of Tignes and Val D'Isere: 300km of piste) by our resident mountain host. Your mountain host has a thorough knowledge of the area and will pay close attention to ensure that the most is made of your time on the slopes. You will benefit from local knowledge of the fastest lifts, how to best avoid lift queues, and where the quieter slopes and the best snow can be found. For the enjoyment of all guests, this service is on offer to skiers and snowboarders who are competent on red slopes. Please note section 3 of our terms and conditions.
