Tignes
The resort known as 'Tignes' is the collective name given to the five main 'Tignes' villages; Tignes Les Brevieres, Tignes Les Boisses, Tignes Le Lavachet, Tignes Le Lac and Tignes Val Claret. We have four chalets in Tignes; Chalet Alistelle and Chalet Le Loup in Tignes Les Brevieres, Chalet Amelie in Tignes Le Lavachet and Chalet Grande Tourne in Tignes Le Lac.


Tignes Les Brévières
(Chalet Alistelle & Chalet Le Loup)
Tignes Les Brévières is a charming Alpine village nestled high in the French Alps. Located in the trees at an altitude of 1550 metres, Tignes Les Brévières is well linked with all the other Tignes resorts, and neighbouring Val D'Isère, by the fast modern lift network of the world class Espace Killy. A fast 6 person bubble lift takes you to two chairlifts, both giving access to Tignes Le Lac via red or blue slopes.



To return to Tignes Les Brevieres from Tignes Le Lac, one fast chairlift gives access via a choice of one blue slope, two red slopes or a black slope – something for everyone!


Tignes Les Brévières is a traditional ski village with a friendly relaxed atmosphere.






The village has cafes, bars and restaurants that cater for all tastes.

For live music, go to La Bouida at the foot of the slopes. For live football and rugby head to Vincents. For a game of pool head to Bar Le Geant. If you want to party, the British run Underground Bar is the place for you.

Tignes Les Brévières has five restaurants, all serving local specialities such as raclette and fondue, or favourites such as pizza or steak. In the heart of the village you'll find cafes, bars, restaurants, a supermarket, bakery, newsagents, post office, cash machine, tourist office, ski school, ski shops and a daily market of traditional produce.


Tignes Le Lavachet

(Chalet Amelie)
Tignes Le Lavachet, is a purpose built resort at a snow sure altitude of 2100 metres. Tignes Le Lavachet has a pretty area of traditional wood and stone chalets; where Chalet Amelie is nestled, as well as some modern apartment blocks. Tignes Le Lavachet is superbly positioned in the heart of the ski area, one lift and a ski away from all the other villages of L'Espace Killy. Neighbouring Val D'Isere is just 2 lifts and a ski away.

From the doorstep of Chalet Amelie, a short ski down an easy slope takes you to a choice of two fast 6 person chairlifts; The 'Paquis' chairlift links you with either Tignes Le Lac, Tignes Val Claret (or Val D'Isere via one more lift). The 'Chaudannes' chairlift gives access to Tignes Le Lac via a red or a blue slope or to Tignes Les Brevieres, via a red or blue slope.


At the end of your day, you can ski across to Chalet Amelie from the beginner slope with runs past the chalet.



The lift serving the beginner slope is located a few yards from Chalet Amelie, making this chalet a superb choice for beginners as well as all other standards.

Tignes Le Lavachet has a good choice of shops, cafes and restaurants a short stroll from Chalet Amelie. In the heart of the resort you'll find a supermarket, bakery, newsagents, cash machine, tourist office, ski school and ski shops. There is a good selection of bars, namely TC's, Scottys, Le Brasero and The Lavachet Lounge. For relaxation, a one minute free bus ride or a 5 minute walk takes you to Tignes Le Lac's modern leisure complex with 2 pools, a gym and the 'Wellness Centre' with saunas, jacuzzis and a steam room.


Tignes Le Lac
(Chalet Grande Tourne)
Tignes Le Lac is a purpose built resort at a snow sure altitude of 2100 metres. This modern resort is superbly positioned in the heart of the ski area.  The fast lift network links Tignes Le Lac with all the other villages of L'Espace Killy, including neighbouring Val D'Isere. From the doorstep of Chalet Grande Tourne, a short ski lift takes you to a choice of blue slopes, linking with either Tignes Le Lac or, via the Merles chailift, Tignes Val Claret. At the end of your day, you can ski across from the blue 'Anemone' slope to your front door.

Tignes Le Lac has a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants a short stroll from Chalet Grande Tourne. In the heart of the resort you'll find a supermarket, patisseries, bakeries, newsagents, cash machines, tourist office, post office, ski schools and lots of ski and snowboard shops. If you're looking for lively après ski visit the Loop Bar, Jam Bar, Alpaka Lodge, L'Embuscade Cafe and Jacks Nightclub to name a few. Don't worry if you are not looking for lively evenings; Chalet Grande Tourne is in a quiet location where noise is not a problem. For relaxation, the chalet is a 2 minute stroll to the modern leisure complex with 2 pools, a gym and the 'Wellness Centre' with saunas, jacuzzis and a steam room.


L'Espace Killy Ski Area

The Tignes and Val D'Isère ski area is known as L'Espace Killy and provides exceptional terrain for all standards of skier and snowboarder. Due to its high altitude, the region has a superb snow record, its season beginning in November and lasting until May. The Grande Motte Glacier gives Tignes the status of a snow sure resort.

Beginners ****
There are five free-lifts for beginners on the beginners slopes in Tignes Les Brevieres, Tignes Le Lavachet, Tignes Le Lac and Tignes Val Claret.Once the basics have been mastered, Tignes has plenty of wide and gentle confidence-building slopes ideal for improving your new skills. This network of easy slopes quickly allows beginners to explore L'Espace Killy.

Intermediates *****
Intermediates are spoilt for choice by the immaculately groomed pistes of L'Espace Killy. The number and variety of runs on offer, from wide cruising blues to the more challenging reds, make this area an intermediate's paradise. Stretch your legs on the huge expanse of terrain available, which offers plenty of opportunity for adventure.

Advanced *****
L'Espace Killy has an unrivalled range of terrain for advanced skiers. La Sache, at 10km, is the area's longest run, an exhilarating black that descends from 'the eye of the needle' through a spectacular valley to Tignes Les Brévières. Test your skill on the awesome "Face", the steep mogul field from Rocher de Bellevarde down to Val D'Isère. In addition to the marked runs, you have access to some of the most extensive off piste skiing in the world.

Snowboarding *****
Without doubt L'Espace Killy is one of the best playgrounds for snowboarding anywhere in Europe. The freeriding is simply superb both on and off piste. There are two well maintained snowboard parks with an impressive range of kickers and rails to suit all abilities of freestyle rider.
