Team White Horizons

Requirements

  • Must hold EU PASSPORT or Carte De Sejour
  • Applicants must be available from 1st December 2024 until 30th April 2025
  • Applicants should be friendly and confident, prepared and committed for hard work.
  • Previous experience of working a winter season would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Previous cooking experience or catering qualifications are an advantage; however each application will be assessed on individual merit. Full training is provided.

Chalet Host Couple

Chalet Host Couple – Role 1

Role 1 & Role 2 have a degree of overlapping in that you would be a team, working the same hours and helping each other to provide a high level of service.

  • Meeting and greeting guests on arrival and helping them with any queries and questions.
  • Daily preparing, serving and clearing of breakfast and of a four course evening meal (starter, main, dessert & coffee/cheeseboard).
  • Canapés will also be served one night per week.
  • Daily baking of cakes/biscuits, setting up and clearing afternoon tea.
  • Interaction with chalet guests throughout their holiday.
  • Daily cleaning & tidying of chalet (lounge, public areas, kitchen).
  • Weekly stock take and shop for chalet food/cleaning materials within a given budget.
  • Cleaning of chalet every ‘changeover day’, readying for the arrival of new guests.
  • Maintaining all health, safety and hygiene regulations
  • Any other directed duties as necessary to enable the smooth running of White Horizon Chalets.

Chalet Host Couple – Role 2

  • Meeting and greeting guests on arrival and helping them with any queries and questions.
  • Being responsible for the immediate reporting and resolution of all relevant maintenance problems.
  • Daily cleaning and tidying of chalet bathrooms and bedrooms.
  • Assisting in preparation, serving, clearing and washing up of meals
  • Interaction with chalet guests throughout their holiday.
  • Deep cleaning of chalet every changeover day, readying for the arrival of new guests.
  • Keeping access paths and steps free of snow and ice at all times.
  • In-chalet laundry of chalet towels and tea towels (not bed linen)
  • Maintaining the hot tub in accordance with safety instruction. Training will be provided.
  • Liaising with the directors/management to ensure standards of guest satisfaction are met.
  • Any other directed duties as necessary to enable the smooth running of White Horizon Chalets.

Resort Manager

Resort Manager position

Resort Manager

The Resort Manager will be a reliable, responsible person on the ground to manage operations in resort. As the White Horizon Chalets Resort Manager your responsibilities will include overseeing all operational and guest related aspects of resort management. You will supervise and organise the resort staff and ensure that our high standards, procedures and company image are maintained.

You need to be highly organised and adaptable with excellent communication skills, ideally having previous experience working overseas. You will produce regular and accurate reports for the Directors. As well as the general skills related to your job role you will also be required to assist with other physical duties throughout the chalet and apartment programmes.

We take recruitment seriously – all members of our team play a crucial role in delivering the high standard of holiday we expect to deliver.   

What the role involves

  • The Resort Manager will be the point of contact for guests for any issues or interactions.
  • You will be responsible for and will be required to co-ordinate the handling of ski passes purchased by our clients through White Horizons for the STGM.
  • You will monitor that high standards of cleanliness and service are maintained in the chalets by the chalet hosts. This will be regular weekly checks, and will be reporting to Directors.
  • Drive in company vehicle to Super U in Bourg St. Maurice for catering supplies, once a week.
    You will be responsible for the company vehicle, carrying out routine checks, maintenance, weekly cleaning and keeping mileage logs.
  • You will be responsible for the changeover of our self catered chalet each week, then meeting guests on their first or second day.
  • Due to the nature of the job, working hours are not fixed. Changeover day is the main day of the week and is longer hours than the other days.
