The resort known as ‘Tignes’ is the collective name given to the five ‘Tignes’ villages; Tignes Les Brevieres, Tignes 1800, Tignes Le Lavachet, Tignes Le Lac and Tignes Val Claret.

We have four catered chalets; Chalet Alistelle, Chalet Arabette, Chalet Le Vallon and Chalet Sundance, all in Tignes Les Brevieres. We have one self catered chalet; Chalet Le Loup, also in Tignes Les Brevieres

Tignes Les Brevieres is a charming village resort nestled high in the French Alps. Located in the trees at an altitude of 1550 metres, Tignes Les Brevieres is well linked with the other Tignes resorts, and neighbouring Val D’Isère, by a fast and modern lift network.

A brand new, fast 8 person bubble lift (Brevieres Telecabine, new for 2018/19) whisks you to the Boisses Telecabine in Tignes 1800 linking with two chairlifts, both giving access to Tignes Le Lac and Tignes Le Lavachet via a blue slope (Rhododendron then Petit Col) or a red slope (Bluets). The new Brevieres Telecabine connects Tignes Les Brevieres with Tignes Les Boisses (1800) and it’s beginner slope with magic carpet.

To return to Tignes Les Brevieres from Tignes 2100, one fast chairlift gives access via a choice of one blue slope, two red slopes or a black slope – something for everyone!

Tignes is a high altitude resort and has an excellent snow record. Thanks to it’s altitude and the aspect of it’s slopes, it has always been possible to ski from the village of Tignes Les Brevieres and back to the village all winter (mid December to last week of April) for all of the 14 years we have been in Tignes.

Tignes Les Brevieres is a charming traditional ski village with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. In the heart of the village you will find cafes, bars, restaurants, a supermarket, bakery, newsagents, post office, cash machine, tourist office, ski school, ski shops and a twice weekly market of local produce. For relaxation, there is a spa with with saunas, jacuzzis, massages and treatments.

For live music go to La Bouida at the foot of the slopes. For live football and rugby head to The Boot Room. For a game of pool head to the French Bar Le Geant or for a relaxed drink head to the Overground Bar. If you want to party, the British run Le Moose Bar is the place for you. Tignes Les Brevieres has five restaurants, all serving local specialities such as raclette and fondue, or favourites such as pizza or steak. Our favourite is L’Armailly, near the foot of the slopes.

Tignes Les Brevieres is linked to other Tignes villages during the day by a brand new gondola (Brevieres) then a free resort shuttle bus from Tignes 1800, meaning non skiers can get around independently. For winter 2018/19 this was open on some evenings and the lift operators plan to open this for evenings during winter 2019/20.

Tignes Le Lac, Tignes Le Lavachet and Tignes Val Claret (collectively know as Tignes 2100) are purpose built resorts with large apartment buildings with a selection of shops, cafes and restaurants. In Tignes Le Lac there is a swimming pool with 2 pools, a gym and a ‘Wellness Centre’ with saunas, jacuzzis and a steam room.
